Are you addicted to sugary drinks?

A 2013 study published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition said that the consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages increases weight gain in both children and adults and according to paper from the World Health Organization (WHO)an increase in the consumption of such beverages correlated with the increase in obesity.

But you are not off the hook if you drink sodas with artificial sweetners either!

Large-scale population studies have found that the consumption of artificial sweeteners, particularly in diet sodas, is associated with increased weight gain and abdominal fat over time.

Animal agriculture has been feeding artificial sweeteners to farm animals since the 1950s, boasting that their addition increases body weight gain and when mice get tested on they often use MSG as a way to fatten them up, as they don’t naturally over eat.
